Our workshop is a practical, informative and useful professional development option that has a strong focus on the practical aspects of grid connected solar installation. Ideal for electricians with limited knowledge starting out in the solar industry or those who want to improve their base skill level and knowledge. This workshop will give you the ability to start working with solar energy with some confidence.
We discuss the requirements for a grid connected solar installation from start to finish. The processes you need to follow and the requirements you need to understand, we then move into installation best practices and practical demonstrations.
There is a mix of classroom style information as well as some actual hands-on guidance, discussion and practice on day 2. Topics covered include – The Standards, H&S, Site Assessment, Client Consultation, System Design Basics, Understanding roof zones & wind loading, Solar Modules, Combining modules with inverters, Design Tools, Tech Tools, Rooftop Solar Installation, Electrical Testing, Grid Connected Inverters, Compliance and more.
Our small informal workshops encourage questions and open discussion in order for everyone to get the most out of the training. We keep our workshop numbers small in order to give everyone the opportunity to complete the hands-on training section and have adequate opportunity to ask questions. Every attendee is given a course booklet outlining the course content. The booklet is designed to be a resource that you can refer to during your future installations. We also supply an Attendance Certificate.
This workshop is not designed to replace the endorsed formal training courses on offer, but may support evidence that you have developed essential skills and knowledge by attending.
